Everyone has a story to tell. No two people are ever exactly alike - we are all wonderfully unique, and in God’s eyes every person is important and greatly valued.
He made you in a precise way, hand-crafting you for a specific purpose which no one else could fulfil, and providing you with the unique gifts, talents and abilities you would need to do just that.
The question is – have you identified your special gift or talent, that you may begin to tap into the great potential God has placed within you?
You don’t need a doctorate in English Literature as a pre-requisite to writing poetry with meaning and value. In fact, one of the chief beauties of poetry is that it can give a powerful voice to those who may not be skilled orators, articulate in debate, or comfortable with being in the public eye.
But, if you merely possess:
- a love of the English Language;
- a creative energy just longing for an outlet to express itself;
- a desire to enrich the lives of others;
- a message so important it must be shared with a wider audience;
- a healthy self-esteem and belief in yourself; plus
- determination, perseverance and the will to succeed
then you have the essential key elements that will give you a head start on the rewarding journey towards becoming a recognised and cherished poet.
